3 Keys to Living a Full Life of Love, Joy and Peace

All that we behold is full of blessings. ~ William Wordsworth

Do joy and love overflow in your life?

Are you FULL of peace and goodness?

Would you like to have more of them?

Let’s look at the meaning of the word full. It means “complete, not lacking in any essential; perfect, being at the highest or greatest degree; rich in experience, satisfied, replete: containing all that is wanted or needed or possible, filled to the brim.”

That’s how the Psalmist David felt when he said “My cup runneth over.” (Ps. 23:5)

David had already sung (Psalms are songs) about how protected he was. He knew that his every need was met. He was restored, comforted and confident. He was not afraid of evil or death because he knew that his life was full of goodness and mercy.

So, how do you stay full-up?

Key #1 – Express Your Gratitude

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is  no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1:17)

“Every good and perfect gift” – that’s everything! From the breath you breathe to the  sunshine and rain. The dollars in your accounts, the house you live in, the job you hold. Your family and friends. Your talents and gifts, as well as Divine Wisdom, ideas, concepts and insights. All of it comes from God, our Father. How can you not be grateful for that?

The key is to express your gratitude. The Bible tells us, “… in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God  in Christ Jesus concerning you (I Thess. 5:18). Notice that it doesn’t say, ‘for everything’. Some stuff isn’t nice! But there is always something IN the situation, event, or person that can inspire thanks.

  • Be glad you’re God’s kid.
  • Be glad He has given you whatever you need to overcome any situation.
  • Be grateful that whatever trial you’re going through, it’s temporary.

Find good wherever you go and you’ll be always have reasons to be grateful.

Key #2 – Honor Your Relationship

And ye are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality  and power. (Col.2:10)

“You are complete in Him.” Complete. That means nothing missing, nothing lacking, nothing broken. Supernatural power is available for you to accomplish any good result, to defeat any negative circumstance.

As a child of the King, you have The Blessing – good measure,  pressed down, shaken together and running over (Luke 6:38). That doesn’t just mean money. ANYTHING you need is available  through your connection with Divine Spirit, Mind, Love. You can be completely, fully supplied with everything you need to live a fulfilling, joy-filled, peaceful, abundant life.

Prov. 3:6 tells us “In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Asking His help in all you do gives Him the opening He needs to lead you rightly. As your spiritual Father, He wants you to ask Him for whatever you need. He wants you to trust Him to give it – or something even better! – to you at the optimum time (that’s faith). Be fully committed to give Him the honor He deserves as your Parent. In return, He wants to give you a life full of blessing and abundance.

Key #3 – Put Down Roots

… that you, being rooted and grounded in love … (Eph. 3:17)

Rooted and grounded in Love. Jesus is the vine, you are a branch. Everything you need for life and sustenance comes through Him if you stay connected.

Roots feed a tree. Trees do not have to forage or work for their supply. Those roots go deep in the ground to keep that tree strengthened, anchored, and protected. That tree is fully supplied right where it is. And it’s only job is to grow as big as it can for as long as it can.

The same is true for you. God wants you to always think and act in love. If you are rooted and grounded, how can any negative emotion or event get a foothold in your life? You are rooted in Love.

Oak trees don’t produce chestnuts or ears of corn. Love can’t produce anger, frustration or fear.  Claim love as your root. Stay there. Don’t get pulled away or uprooted by life’s storms. Remind yourself often that you are ‘rooted and grounded’ in Love – it’s where your supply, your joy and your peace come from.

‘Fill-‘er-up’ with gratitude, love, and an awareness of your Divine heritage. If you will practice these three keys, you’ll find that you, too, will be full-up!
