How to Use Truth to Change Your Reality

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for out of
the abundance
of the heart his mouth speaks. ~ Luke 6:45

The Bible confirms that God is truth (Ps. 31:5). It also says that “the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth. (Ps. 33:4) And Psalm 91:4 affirms that “his truth shall be thy shield and buckler [protection]”. Our responsibility here on earth is to demonstrate the power and authority of Truth in our own lives.

On a natural level, truth is easy to see. An addict says, “l want drugs. They make me feel better.” So, he takes drugs, even though Truth says they will destroy his life. He chooses to ignore TRUTH because he wants a different outcome, a different reality. But, his life and health will ultimately be sacrificed because he chose to ignore Truth.

Truth is a Law, a Divine edict, and it works the same way every time. Like gravity, Truth cannot be avoided, it can only be temporarily defied or suspended. Airplanes defy the Law of Gravity by applying another law,
the Law of Lift. In harmony, those two laws allow passengers and freight to travel quickly and safely to their destinations.

The problem with choosing a different reality for yourself is that you will reap the consequences of your choices. Your reality, however, will not change the eternal power and authority of Truth.

  • Not knowing and accepting that healing is a Divine promise will result in illness and, possibly, death.
  • Not claiming the Laws of Prosperity and working in harmony with them will open the door to lack and insufficiency.
  • Waivering between Divine promises – the Truth of God’s Word – and selfish human desires will keep you in limbo, never achieving all that is possible for your life.

By taking your stand on the promises of God’s Word, you can change your realities to line up with His Truth. A bit of research will discover the verses that pertain to your situations. Meditate on them. Speak them out loud. Act as if they are true.

Your focus will change your faith. And changing your faith will change your reality.
