Find The Truth – Change Your Reality

Truth only reveals itself when one gives up all preconceived ideas. ~ Shoseki

No matter where you are in life or what’s going on, there is always ‘stuff’ to deal with. No exceptions! We tend to think that ‘the world’ is out to get us and that bad things happen because of:

  1. something we’ve done that we shouldn’t
  2. something we’ve not done that we should
  3. something somebody else did that hurt us

While any of those scenarios may be possible, the truth is that nothing happens to you or through you that cannot be overcome. You get to pick. You can get mired in self-pity, anger, doubt or any number of human emotions … or you can choose, on purpose, to believe in a positive outcome – regardless of your circumstances.

It never ceases to amaze me how God works in people’s lives. He can take the direst situations, and turn them around. But it does require your cooperation.

Today, we’re beginning a four-week series on the difference between Truth and reality. It is my hope that by the end of this series that you are:

  1. convinced of the possibility of change
  2. determined to facilitate the change you want
  3. bold enough to stay with it until you win!

The next time you are faced with a difficult decision, take the time to examine what kind of reality you really want? What matters most?

Find the truths in God’s Word that support the results you desire and build your faith around them. Speak them aloud – and don’t let doubt creep in. Your choice will determine your outcome. Whether positive or negative, what you think and believe has more influence on your life than your outward circumstances. Make your choice wisely. That is the reality you will eventually experience.

God called us to be warriors, not wimps. Take these lessons to heart and go get your victory!

Have a wonderful week. Hugs from me to you!
