Friday’s QuickTip: Watch Your Words!

For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: ~ I Peter 3:10

What bothers you the most? Your job? Your spouse? Maybe your kids or a friend who is always negative …  Whatever it is – how can you look at them differently?

What can you say to yourself that will change how you look at the situation?

Years ago, when I was SOOO very frustrated with my husband – when I thought he just wasn’t doing things I thought he should, when I was angry because ‘he wasn’t making me happy’ – I found I had to change MY thinking, not him.

He is a wonderful husband, and we now have a great relationship … because I took the pressure off him to meet my needs. Instead, I found a Bible verse that said, “My God shall meet all your need”. I clung to that, made it my new way of thinking, and the situation began to improve almost immediately.

Find a way to do that in your life. Find the Truth, not the emotions, God’s promise instead of your defeat.

Hang on! You can do it … and God promised that we would win!
