You can change your thoughts whenever you choose – even in the midst of extremely stressful situations.  Talk to yourself, either aloud or in your head.

 Say to yourself, “I am going to be happy today. I will not allow anyone to steal my peace.”

Tell yourself, “I am so grateful for …” Make the list as long as you can!

Remind yourself, “It’s not my issue, not my responsibility. I am not going to get upset. I am going to stay in peace.”

Finally, say, “OK, Father. What am I not seeing? Where’s the blessing in this mess? Show me Your wisdom. I want to follow Your plan for my life.”
