Happy Mother’s Day – Views and News from Home

No one in the whole world can take the place of your mother. Right or wrong, from her viewpoint, you are always right. She may scold you for little things, but never for the big ones. ~ Harry Truman

I have to pause and pay tribute to all the Moms, Grandmas, Aunts and almost-Moms in our lives. My mom died some years ago, and my mom-in-law is now in an Alzheimer’s unit in Georgia. Though I can’t ask them for advice and comfort anymore, I can still hear their wisdom playing in my head. Do you hear your mom, too? (For some down-home Mom-smarts, see my prior posts.)

My daughter was born on Mother’s Day so this is one holiday that is always special to me. By the time you read this, we will be back from a visit to Chicago to celebrate an early Mother’s Day and birthday with her.

We really enjoy travelling – and we like coming home again, too. I also enjoy writing to you each week, encouraging you to live larger, stay positive and claim more peace for your life.

God does have a good plan for you – and it will unfold despite the problems and sorrows that the world brings. Your future is much brighter than your ‘now’. I just know it. He promised! With God, everything grows and multiplies to greater goodness and blessing. Believe it – believe Him. And have a great week.

Be blessed. And a Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms and daughters out there!
