Friday’s QuickTip 4 Success – Become an Attitude Expert

Life is not what happens to you, it’s what you make it. OK – so life is dumping everything on you all at once … or so it seems. Or maybe, just maybe, life is OK, but you still think it should be better.

Pick one (or two) of the Keys from my last two posts (5 Steps to Overcome Pain, Stress & Depression, Pt. I & II)  and really focus on them for the next week. Here’s a quick recap:

1. Tell  yourself “It’s not as bad as you think.

2. Control your thoughts with positive words.

3. Smile – whether you want to or not!

4. Start a Blessings Journal. Write every day.

5. Take responsibility for your feelings.

Personally, I’d start with #3 or #4.  Both of them are easy to do, regardless of how busy or stressed you are.  Stay with them. Don’t quit.

Everything is hard at first. Practice is the key to easy. You already know that. 

Think about all those music lessons you took. When you got really good, you didn’t even have to think about how to play. When these steps become ingrained – like the keyboard or reading music – add another one.

Keep practicing. You’ll become an Attitude Expert … and Life will start flowing your way!
