3 Keys to Finding Your Authentic Self – Part 1

The hardest challenge is to be yourself in a world where everyone is trying to make you be somebody else. ~  E. E. Cummings

Who are you, really? And who do you want to be? If you could set aside all your limitations, who would you become? What contribution would you want to make to the world?

From teen through senior, the call of the human heart is to find out who we are and how we fit into and bless our world. “Why am I here?” is the eternal question. The answer is a process of constant change and improvement, influenced by your thoughts, ideas and experiences.

Many of your perceptions were seeded into you by your parents, teachers, friends and other influential people in your life. If you choose to believe what they have said, you will never be able to grow beyond those parameters. The paradigms you accept automatically set your boundaries. But what was said or inferred is not necessary the real you. Your potential is unlimited. You must challenge those perceptions, however, to find your authentic self.

Change is always necessary to realize your full potential. And faith is necessary for change. You cannot be fully YOU if you allow your life to be governed by emotion and opinion. Instead, trust God’s plan for your destiny. Decide to work with Him to discover and develop your authentic self. The Universe is waiting for you to become all you can be.
