Gratitude: Your Magnet for Blessing

“I thank God for my handicaps for, through them, I have found myself, my work, and my God.” ~ Helen Keller

We’ve all heard the expression, “she’s got a magnetic personality”. It means that we are drawn toward a person who is outgoing, expressive, compassionate and giving. We just want to be around them. They draw us into their sphere of influence. They are ‘magnetic’!

Have you noticed that being around a depressed person tends to make you depressed? And being with someone who’s full of enthusiasm and joy makes you happier. You are ‘pulled’ into their mood, their problems and their attitudes. For good or bad, they are sowing seeds and reaping the appropriate harvest.

Magnets pull. They exert power.

Gratitude is a magnet. Words are the multiplier.

Gratitude activates the Law of Attraction (actually God’s Law of Sowing and Reaping) and opens the windows of heaven on your behalf. The more thankful you are, the more you will have to be thankful for.

Gratitude not only opens your mind to expanding possibilities. It draws you toward the Source of all blessing, God.  Jesus demonstrated that Attitude of Gratitude. He told His Father, “I thank You that You hear me”. A thankful heart connects you to the goodness and power of heaven.

Recognize and acknowledge the Father’s goodness toward you. Allow yourself to experience joy, love, appreciation and gratitude. As you do that, you send a positive vibration into the atmosphere. You turn on your ‘thankful magnet’.

Do you have a problem that evades an answer?

A need or dream that remains elusive?

Take the magnetic power of gratitude to the next level. Express gratitude for the things you are waiting and praying for. Use your mind like a tool to imagine how you will feel when your desire manifests. FEEL IT. Express your gratitude out loud and often (to yourself is OK!). Your solution will reveal itself as you focus your thank-power toward your expected blessings.

Here are three tips for maintaining the power level of gratitude in your life.

Recognize your Blessings. It doesn’t matter how small or large, say thank you. God multiplies your blessings through the Factor of Gratitude. “Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over” … (Luke 6:38)

Be a Blessing. Thank the co-worker who helped you finish that project. Thank the waitress who served your lunch. Smile at people on the street. Compliment your bank teller … her earrings, his tie. Hug your spouse and children often. Tell them you love them … and why.

Keep a Blessing Journal. Note the small things in each day that bless you and those around you. When you’re struggling with your attitude, re-read your entries.

Focus your mind and emotions like a laser magnet. Use your thoughts and words to maintain the power of a positive attitude. Be grateful! You will soon discover even more blessings in your life. And, you will be a ‘magnetic’ person.
