No Worries! – Get Off the See-Saw of Stress

Is your life a celebration or a crisis?

I have a friend who see-saws between ecstasy and despair. One day she calls to tell me her tale of woe. Next day, she’s ecstatic over a victory or blessing. And the following day, she’s down in the dumps again because something else happened.

Being constantly at the mercy of your emotions is no way to live, or so I tell her. Spiritual and emotional growth requires us to ‘level out’ our reactions to life’s many challenges.

To go another step further, true maturity teaches us not to react to those circumstances at all. Instead, we analyze the situation and then ACT purposefully.
